SilverAeroGuy, so sorry to hear about your car, glad you are ok. I recognized your and RedAeroGirl's cars when I saw them parked together! At least the car went out with glory, and died on SCD. It is also possible that the person with the Explorah may not have known a piece fell off their car until they got home. (Stereo blaring/talking with passengers/head up ass/etc.) Did you pick up the part that fell off the Ford? Again a longshot, but if it was a stock part, I wonder if you would have some sort of claim against FoMoCo if it fell off??? From what you say, I'm thinking this happened on 128/95 in Woburn. If you haven't filed a Police report, definitely do that too. (I'm sure the police had to come anyway). Did you have comprehensive/collision/uninsured driver cover? Although it sounds a bit wacky, you are actually better off because you had an accident as a result of hitting the bar than if you had an accident avoiding it. Good you have witnesses too. IIRC, you are tight for yard space, but if you can, it's probably worth buying back from the insurance. CS/CSE are really cheap, and you could transfer the good stuff over, if you think another Aero is out of your budget. Anyway, good you are ok, and cars can always be replaced.
