Went to Sears the other night to pick up the pressure washer I special ordered (one of their largest...3000 psi, 7 hp, 4 tank). Guy brings it out on a large cart in a good size box (I was actually worried about the height of the box). Asks me where I'm going to put it as I open up the hatch of my 9-3. I proceed to open the rear doors, move the seat bottoms forward, fold the seatback down, close the rear doors, remove the cargo cover and trunk tray in addition to moving my XM antenna all in a little under a minute.

The two of us picked up the box, and placed it in the back of my 9-3, slid it forward about a foot and a half, and I closed the hatch. Opened up the rear door and put the cargo hatch cover and trunk tray in front of the pressure washer.

The guy proceeds to say "Dammnnnn......that's freaking like a cave in there. I thought you were going to have to come back with a truck".

I started to laugh.

8 foot 2x4's are my favorite at Lowes...people look at you like your an idiot trying to fit them in the car....a minute later they are all packed and the hatch is closed. Makes you wonder why Saab quit making hatchbacks.

Think we will see more hatchbacks with the pending demise of the SUV?
