I totally agree on the VW/Audi brakes. Too much initial boost and hard to modulate. To be fair though, the new 2.0 T is probably a lot better than the old 1.8 T engine which was coarse.
The off center speedometer is annoying too. When I drove the Passats we had at my old job, I always looked in the middle and saw the trip computer screen. The most important info should be in the middle, not a largely blank space.
As for no fold-down seats, that's horrible! It's worse than the luxury cars that make fold-down seats optional.
