Anytime your phone connects minutes are used, even if you're just checking VM. You might want to check your information. Let me know if something has changed recently as this would be great. I would basically never use minutes.

I switched my T-Mobile post-paid account to a pre-paid plan in Jan. I had been very happy with my service and coverage with T-Mobile but found that I rarely used my phone minutes so the pre-paid was great solution for me. I immediately purchased a $100 refill to qualify for "Gold" status so minute don't expire for a year.

Since switching, I haven't notice much difference with my service, but I haven't used my phone much. I have used a total of 45 minutes since my switch. I have noticed a little more static on the line, but I also switched to using the free phone that came with the $100 refill deal I bought. I have recenlty switched back to my Sony T610 or Treo to test the line quality, but haven't used the phone yet since there is limited/no signal inside my new office building.
