Hey Eric - i did get the T-mobile prepaid and am happy with it so far. The coverage around here seems decent - not as good as my Verizon but I've only found a few deadspots (Secor metropark is one). I had good service in St. Ignace when I was getting my fuel pump repaired, so I think Northern Michigan should be OK in general. It also was fine in Chicago a couple of months ago.
I paid $100 for 1000 minutes back in October and I still have about 800 left - so that's a big improvement over the $30 a month I was paying for my Verizon service.
Customer service has been good so far - I lost my original phone (now found again so if you want a Samsung t-209 dirt cheap let me know - or if you want to borrow it to test the service) and they were good at transferring my unused units to the new phone.
My only real issue is that there is a 2 or 3 second delay after answering the phone before the caller can hear me (I've learned to pause after opening my phone to answer calls now). I never had that with Verizon.
