Driving out the NY Thruway the other day I encountered people doing two of the usual things that just drive me nuts.

First are the yo-yos who take 4 or 5 miles to pass an 18-wheeler. They go about 1 mph faster than the truck and take half of forever to get past him. Must drive the trucker nuts, with some dimwit who doesn't know how to speed up to get past him. Encountered about 6 of these halfwits between Albany and Rochester. Most of them seem to be in a Camcord or similar boring-mobile.

Then there's the bozo in the Exploder who I pass while I'm running about 80. I have cruise control on and he comes up to me 2-3 miles later, passes me and proceeds to sit 1 car length ahead off my front quarter for the next coupla miles. So I boot it and pass him, and 1/2 a mile later drop back to 80. A few miles later, here he is again, passing and then pulling in front of me and slowing back down, 80 feet ahead.

WTF is with these ding dongs? I finally nail it, run the 9K up to 95 or so and get some distance on him and drop back to 80. Sure enough, a few miles later, Dickweed comes easing back up. Fortunately I hit some traffic, he gets locked in and finally disappears behind me. .

This stuff just amazes me. Do any of these people have a clue?
