I have an 02 9-5 Aero and I simply LOVE it. It is the best car I have ever owned. I purchaed it about 2 1/2 years ago and thought I had a year left before the certification runs out...not so. I have less than a month. I was very saddened by this info because they are quite costly when it comes to repairs. My husband says he does not want me to purchase a newer one due to the fact they are now made in the US (less quality)...I have been researching for the past 4 hours and have not had any luck on how to find more information as to where they are now built as well as other info I'd like. I truly love my Saab and don't want to get rid of it, but if it breaks down, I won't be able to afford the repairs. Can anyone tell me anything about the years from 03-08? Are they any good? Are they more GM than Saab? I have a loaner car from the dealer since mine is in the shop for tranny noise and it is a Saab but looks like a Subaru on the inside. It has the power of a Saab and body style but that is where it stops. The interior is not like mine. Not as many gadgets if you will, no leather, ignition is different...many differences even thought it is supposed to be a Saab. Is the 02 the last year I am going to be able to get a "true" Saab? Any information or links you may know of to help me on my way, would be greatly appreciated.
