Also, you can't make comparison without knowing what hit the Saab. From the picture, it looks like it was hit by another car as the major point of impact is slightly above the rear bumper. The minivan was hit by a 3/4 ton pickup which (generally speaking) would put the point of impact in the middle of the Freestar's tailgate, way above the frame structure. Also, a 3/4 ton pickup is going to weigh 4000+ lbs - at even 60mph, that is going to make mincemeat of anything. I'm sure you all remember that '80s Benz that was literally cut in half by a Suburban running a stop light. Benzes are pretty stout vehicles.
