I love the look of concrete counters. It's durable, DIY, great looking and enviromentally freindly. Im trying to talk my family into doing it in their kitchen remodel. Its also much less expensive than a all-natural solid surface and you can make it any color, or embed things in it if thats your style. You can also create any type of edge you want because you make the mold for it. Plus when you are done you can stand back and look at what you created. Nothing better than that. Tile counters are a horrible idea in my opinion, the grout lines get stained and they can look cheap not to mention they can chip, they create and uneven work surface, and dont add any value to your kitchen, anyone would lucky to get your money back for them.
