A month ago, a good SAAB indy friend of mine was rear ended in a customer's rare 900 SPG. He was in 70-0 stop-and-go traffic on the highway. He was stopped in the right lane, a couple car lengths behind the car in front of him. He looked up in the rear-view just in time to see a Toyota pickup barreling down on him--didn't even slow down. Rear-ended him going 70. The SPG spun around striking the car in front of him and getting airborn. Then went across the left lane and landed on the guardrail in the median. He couldn't get the doors open, so he crawled out the hatch. He said the car performed perfectly. The front and rear were destroyed, but the cabin stayed intact. He walked away physically unhurt--but emotionally destroyed. He had hand built the car for his customer.
