In retrospect... what is the torque spec on 12" breaker bar? I imagine I exceeded it with the last axle nuts and a 3' pipe. I have to admit that I don't know what the spec if for a snap-on 12" breaker vs. a craftsman, and I expect the snap-on is higher as they are professional quality and twice the price. For my personal work, adn with great convenience and a warranty that's easy to take advantage of, Craftsman has been good to me in the past.
But... having seen the downside of a 3' pipe on a 12" breaker... I now seek a higher level of power! Hence my concerns as to just how far I can push a higher quality toole (snap on) or whether I need to step up a notch to 3/4" and use a tool really designed to handle 200# of torque.
