I thought the future 9-3 had lots of GM / Opel input (platform, etc). If so, then why would GM allow the prodcut to be brought to market?
Plus, why would engineers in Trollhatten stick around waiting for the new concern to be up and running in a few years? The best engineers are probably already gone.
What you'd be looking at is creating an entirely new car company almost from scratch, albeit with existing production space, but with a severely damaged brand.
Don't see it happening, unfortunately.
