Believe it or not, I have discovered a technology that permits one to withdraw cash without having to use an ATM! It turns out that banks have these things called "branches" and it is actually possible to walk into one of these so-called "branches" and talk to a person who for some reason is called a "teller." This "teller" upon presentation of appropriate paperwork will give you your money in cold hard cash! Unbelievable but true!
As far as the risk of loss, life is full of risk, it's a matter of managing it. I am willing to take a risk carrying cash in order to preserve a modicum of privacy. Credit rating I do not concern myself with, I am 100% debt-free and have not applied for credit in about 30 years now. I don't know what my credit rating is and I don't care.
In a similar vein, I have discovered a technology by which it is possible to pay bills without a computer. (By now many readers probably need duct tape to wrap around their heads to prevent an explosion!) There are these places called "post offices" and it is possible to walk in there with cash in hand (obtained by the previously detailed method) and buy these things called "stamps." You can then put a check in an envelope, write an address on it, put on the "stamp," deposit it at the "post office," and an agent of the United States Government will deliver it for you! I swear I would not make this up!
