That's nuts. Anyone who knows anything about original paint would know they actually *would not* want to have it resprayed. Some people can, be crazy.
I hear you on the process, but this isn't something that i'm trusting myself with despite being extremely handy and meticulous. I don't trust myself not to do any more damage. How the heck will I sand with 2000 grit paper without doing damage around it?
I really don't drive this car regularly, it's just something I love to own and I would leave it there for a week if I had to. It's just important it falls in the right hands. Too many times did I *think* I bring it to the right tire shop, only to have scratches on my rims. At least rims can be replaced (well...sort of, the Viggen rims are becoming more and more rare).
I'd love someone who's done this many many times to do it for me. I'm sure I *could* do it, but it feels too risky. Any idea how to find someone?
