I had a few thoughts on this
mine is a bit dim for me as well but
1.) try bending the led down or what will be down when it is installed
so it focuses on the guages more. the problem then is getting
it to fit
2.) JP had thought that running some sandpaper over the tip of the light
might help defuse the light and reflect more out the sides
3.) the dual or more leds in each socket woudl be nice to but might not fit
4.) find a brighter (more lumans ) or wider focal area leds
with mine at the present moment the white area of the dash are not very easy to read but i usealy just go by guage position not the numbers
those show up nice and clear
