Thanks for the advice. I think I'll just replace the battery. That's the most likely thing. The water in it is pretty full, and I have Mobil 1 10W-30 in the engine (Redline MTL in the trannie).
It could very well be the wires, but I'll try the battery first and see what happens. A weak battery could also explain why some fuses tend to blow. I've cleaned all those terminals, but low battery voltage = higher amps to run the various devices (mainly the fuel pump).
