clealy the dodge strarus/chrysler sebring uses the mitsu 6 cyl engine and is owned (joint???) by daimlerchrysler. and a mazda 626 is a ford car made in usa. But I think the understanding is to get USA co. and USA made car made by USA union. I'd imagine most asian or european cars are union made as well, but not USA union. Interestingly, the UAW website doesn't list all Big3 cars as being union made - such as the PT cruiser.
In any event, I think if it wears a big3 badge, I'm okay. I don't want to have to try to explain how my mazda 626 is made by UAW labor in Illinois while the Union Leader's PT Cruiser is made by x labor in x country.
here's the link to UAW made:
http://www.uaw.org/uawmade/products/webuy21.html
another question is what if the UAW organizes a local in mexico for a big3 company? then its a usa co. and usa union, but almost usa made. Oh well, like I said, I'll stick to a big3 badge and be done with it.
