In reading on the 'net, am led to believe the clay isn't a good idea for amateurs like myself - too easy to do damage to paint, most appropriate for overspray, etc. Do you agree, or? Could you comment on how clay is used, as all I can gather is you "rub it in a straight line and shave/expose a fresh portion of clay periodically". Also, do you have to wash off clay smears or what? My naivete on the subject led me to go with a chemical cleaner instead, purportedly technically not as good but effective/foolproof. The most I've done before, like I said, is use a quality fine polish. TIA
