A wheel bearing noise would be a grumbling sort of sound that increases with speed. Provided the bearings on both wheels aren't bad, you would get more noise when you turn the wheel while driving on one side or the other because the load on the wheel bearings changes as you make a turn.
The rule of thumb is that, if you get more noise as you turn the wheel to the right while driving, the left wheel bearing is bad and vice versa. In your case, you'd turn to the right - 15 to 30 MPH should give you enough speed.
I have seen the case where a wheel bearing doesn't make a significant amount of noise. When you jack the car up on that corner, the wheel just flops around.
