Good advice, I don't think it will take a day to remove the old plumbing, probably an hour at most, I had most of it off trying to fix a leak a few months ago, but the fixtures were garbage, so I decided to replace them. I'm more concerned about behind the wall. I'm pretty sure the pipes are galvanized (or more likely lead to go with my asbestos shingled / creosote timbered garage), and that there are threaded connections locally available. Home Depot sells pre-cut and threaded lengths of pipe, and will custom cut as well. From the looks of it, this will probably be easier that replacing the sink faucets/drain, assuming these things are standard lengths/sizes
I guess my main question was on the threaded pipe, wouldn't spinning it tighten one end, loosen the other? or am I just missing the trolley on this one?
