Hi everyone:

OK, I need some general advice on negotiating a deal for a new car... will most likely buy an Aero in '03 and haven't bought a new car in almost 20 years so I'm a bit out of practice. I know about finding out the dealer's cost for a car, their invoice price. Do I subtract the current incentive from that price as a starting point..? and will it make a difference to them if I pay a lump sum or finance the car? I'll be wanting to add some options too so the price will creep up, but I want to start from a good place and also want the dealer to make a resonable profit too.

Any advice or links to advice will be most appreciated, thank you very much!
