Lease Buyout Offer-Should I stay or should I go?

The lease on my '00 9-3 SE 5-speed is up in May. I got a letter from Saab Financial today, offering to sell me the car for just over 16k. This was a "renegotiated" price they were offering, down from about 23k in the original lease deal (I'll have to double check for the exact price). They additionally offered to work out the financing should I choose to keep it.
It only has 27k miles on it, and it has never caused me any problems whatever. I've had it serviced at the dealer, and I keep it garaged. I was going to get something larger as my 2 and 5 year olds are growing, but I could trade my wife's Honda in a couple more years and still have the Saab.
I'll have to put the pencil to it to decide if it is worth it, but I'm intrigued by their offer.
Opinions? Too much money for the year and model, or worth keeping since I know where it's been?
Regards, Erik
