Hi, the car is still under warranty, but the plastic piece looks like it just snaps in over the metal piece on the shift housing, I actually found he little tab that broke off the old guide, so I imagine that while it was still on the lot as a new car, some ignorant person who test drove it, just forced it into or out of reverse and broke it..... have you needed this done on your car ??
