I repair Saab's for a living and have replaced this tab on several cars.
It's not as easy to replace as the first look at it seems to be.
It is a lock tab that have to go under the shifterball housing part.
First of all, try to get it reparied under warranty. I can't say for sure if they will do that, since they might claim you broke it. But give it a try.
Or just keep driving the way you have gotten used to without the reverse lock in place.
