It's a really tough job.

Hi,
I'm an experienced engineer in the Bay Area, and I know my business.
So, I make six figures. I know for a fact that lawyers have to work much
much harder for their six figures.
Sixty hours a week is tough, but a lot of these guys have to work 100
hour weeks. On top of that, they have the tremendous stress to fill
billable hour requirements, they have to deal with emotional, abusive
clients and above all, they have to put up with each other.
Some kids unsuspectingly go into the legal business, and when they're
faced with the tremendous stress, a lot of them resort to alcoholism.
Others develop health problems like ulcers or hair loss.
If you add to all that the moral dilemma and need to be unscrupulous,
which inevitably spills into their personal lives, lawyers have it tough.
There are good lawyers, and most lawyers regret going into the legal
business. There are easier ways to make money, like engineering.
thanks
jae
