I use Mobil 1 0W-30 or 0W-40 in my Saab and 15W-50 in the Alfa. All are very good oils. Amsoil, Redline oil, and Mobil 1 are probably the best synthetic oils out there. I use Mobil 1 because it is readily available in my area.
My experience is that any good synthetic will give you extended oil/filter change intervals (5,000 miles for mainly city driving and 10,000 miles for mainly highway driving). In my 1984 Saab 900T, I used 10W-30 or 5W-30 changing it every 5,000 miles since it was new. I never had to open the engine for anything except adjusting the lifters in almost 250,000 miles. Of course, your car’s condition, age, and your driving style and situation will dictate would you choose to use.
