Life doesn't have to be complicated: I'd siphon out the old stuff and use your orange (lawnmower?) jug to add 5 gallons of fresh petrol to the tank. If it doesn't start/run after that, I'd start looking for causes other than stale fuel. I'm looking at an '85T that has been sitting idle under a tree for ~ 2 yrs, current owners just want it off their land and so if I can start it it's mine (probably). I'll be interested to hear what you find is nec to get a Shiavo Saab started, please repost with details.
