... that is the problem with the internet.. people often misread or misjudge with respect to the tone of a note... so I understand your point.. but I don't agree...
Now let's look at his "attitude" from his perspective.. He asks an innocent and seemingly simple question regarding an oil change.. and rather than answer his question, she (the moderator) responds in turn by posing her own question .. asking "why aren't you having the dealer change the oil"? I mean come on.. what's the point asking why someone is changing their own oil ? From my own viewpoint, she obviously knows the answer, but would rather not answer right away..
So now this person sees the moderator's response which questions his question, and interprets her to be the one with the attitude..get it ? and then you see his follow-up response, which did have a tone to it.. but he did stay on course answering the question...and then he proceeds to get assaulted by several others on that forum... which was unjustified in my opinion... Such mature responses like ... "the jerk store called, and they're out of you"..
the point is .. she was given the benefit of the doubt in her response, which could have been interpreted as rude.. which really kicked off the whole issue..
