I own a V70R, which is basically a lowered, high performance version of the XC70.

The xenons (shared with the XC70) really are awful. Low beam is too low, high beam has terrible and weak dispersion. The headlights on my V70R are adjustable (open hood, look down onto the headlight housing, through a hole about midway acxross the housing there is a small white hexagonal screw. Turn about 1 1/2 turns to adjust them upwards a little, which helps a lot.

Volvo's are getting kinda sketchy in the reliability department, but by far the worst problem for me has been inconsistent dealer service. I can put up with the tourblesome car is the dealer can give me good service, but so far that has not been the case. Really do your diligence on the local delaers to figure out who gets good ratings and who does not.
