Comparable, but weak compared to a 9-5..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: life with an Audi?, Dan in NY, Tue, 21 Feb 2006 09:45:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
One of the silver linings to a Saab 9-5 is the outstanding reliability ratings. I think Saab has faired much better than Audi lately in reliability surveys. So I'd like to think that a 9-5 would be substantially better than an A6 in this regard. Overall Saab and Audi are fairly comparable. My favorite BMW/Merdedes and formerly Audi independent (Hans Foreign Car Service on Pacific Hwy) says he's had to give up on the Audis because of all the proprietary exepnsive tools VW/Audi requires.
One area of superiority for the Saab is power. Even a 2.3 LPT has way more getti'yup than the anemic 2.8 V6 saddled with Quattro. An SE V6 or Aero is a much more motor and better fuel economy too.
