You don't give us a lot of info to go on! LOL I do know that for the first 5 years or so after LR stopped bringing them to the US, they really did not depreciate at all - 5-6 years old, and they were still worth what they had sold for new, and you couldn't find a good one for under $30,000. I'm not sure how they've gone in the last few years, but they must still be worth at least 10-15k if they're good. I don't know which models are worth more - LWB/SWB/County/2-door/4-door. I do know that there is a good network of support for them, from used/new parts vendors to Indy mechanics. They are pretty simple cars, and do tend to run forever. I would say if you can DIY, and learn the intricacies of them, it would be hard to go wrong. They are perhaps the most capable off-road vehicle you can buy (short of building a Baja buggy, or something). They're not high on creature comforts. In general, my rule of thumb on something like this would be; is the entry price so low that you could exit with little or no loss if you ever had to? It sounds like this car is cheap enough to fall into this category.
