I'd only buy an older highline anything, and Land Rover is the highest of the highline SUVs, if there was a trusted independent mechanic nearby and they had looked at it and said it was OK to buy. You'll go broke trying to keep that car up at a dealer. Any older highline can become a nightmare with repairs exceeding the purchase price, but that's what the low price compensates for.

The good news is that even the worst vehicles for reliabilty ratings, and I believe the Land Rover has had that honor, are much better than they used to be. Overall car problems have declined substantially in the last 20 years.

Charming vehicles Land Rovers, V8 fuel economy. I love that low beltline big glass feel of that body style.
