I have ran higher compression pistons and lower in the c900's. The trick really is to get your turbo matched to your compression and the rest of the motor. Personally i'm a fan of the 85' lower compression pistons. However from saab they are currently out of stock, so if you find a set lemme know. You can have a set made to the compression of your liking from a few select companies, but w/a heafty price tag as well. The primary reason for lower compression is so that you can bring your boost higher in the top-end/mid-range area. Using your stock pistons w/new rings would probably work for what you are wanting to achieve. Since the latre statement. the gearbox's don't hold up to higher #'s to begin with. Good luck
