My service manager was pretty cool about the mods, before I started doing stuff he told me about one other guy who modded the crap out of his 9-3 and said they always took car of him. He told me that no matter what I did as long as there was a failed Saab part that he could send back to the manufacturer he would cover it. That being said, I've only taken my car there 3 times for the routine oil change and I don't really plan on going back unless something really goes wrong. I'm close to 30k on the car now and I plan on doing the 30K service myself.
I think for saab dealers its not a big issues to cover modded cars, because so few new saabs are getting modded.
The 2.5l aero will be an awesome car, like the difference between the b202 and a b234, ultimatley you won't be able to make much, if any more HP out the 2.5, but the torque curve is incredible and with AWD you can actually use it at any speed.
