96mph does come up as the only reliable test number (from C&D)so you are looking at about 5mph gain in trap speed, which still requires far more than a 10hp increase in power. I think you are underestimating the power increase from the MBC, keep in mind that factory boost in the 9000 aero is programmed at approximately 1 bar and there is no boost limiting in the lower gears, its just unlikely to see full boost in first as it would end up as tire smoke and the gear would end quickly.

Drag racing is really all about peak HP numbers, a decent drag vehicle only needs about 1000rpms of rev range to be effective. Lowering your stock max boost will definitely lower your 1/4 mile though you may feel like the car is generally stronger on the street at say 10psi MBC than regular Trionic control, you will develop less peak hp. The other thing you need to keep in mind in is peak boost versus boost at redline. A stock saab will hit max boost early on in the range and hold steady with a slight taper towards redline.

The TD04 is not a terribly small turbo and can hold much more of its boost until 5500rpm (where max hp is measured)than any other stock saab turbocharger, but the factory programming does not allow it to hold that same 15-16psi. That why when you have an MBC that holds 17psi no matter what you will see high HP on the top, where the engine is working during a drag race.
