Trevor you are correct about the boost limiting, I did a little checking and T5 does actually know what gear you are in (I thought that wasn't possible until T7)

As far as gear ratio, no it definitely is not 1000rpm on your car, that was my example of a close ratio box, and you probably wouldn't see that on a street car with only 5 gears...its also a little oversimple, because gear ratios change so it will generally be highest 1st to 2nd and get lower as you go...My 9-2x has tall gearing simliar to 9000 aero...as a test did a 1-2-3-4 shift as though I were drag racing (but I kept it at 5k cause it was on the street)

What I found was a 1700rpm drop from 1-2 a 1300 rpm drop from 2-3 and then 1600 rpm drop from 3-4. Though it seems weird that the drop went back up, it makes sense because the original design gear box in japan has a shorter 4th and 5th gear. US gearing was made taller in 4th and 5th to imporve highway fuel economy.

I did not do a 4-5, because my car does not make enough power to get to 5th on the drag strip....yet.....
