The PPC is just a tool to load the software without having to remove the ECU. The amount of time it takes to load via PPC is about the same as it takes to R/R the ECU. It's not hard to do at all. You can go back to stock with a non PPC upgrade by just keeping the stock ECU but you have to eat the core charge. You can find cheap ECU's on ebay, maybe for $50-$100 that might help offset the core charge. The ECU you send back does not have to be the one that came out of your car. As for dyno numbers being accurate, good luck. Each car is different and enviro conditions play a huge part as well. I wouldn't buy into the dyno charts you see. There really isn't much power to be gained above stock with stock hardware, especially in the summer time or if you are in a state where you can't get 93 octane.
