Drag Racing!!!!!

Howdy. I'm heading up to a "test-n-tune" this Friday 5 - 10:30
(at 75-80 Dragway north of Damascus, MD) Good spectating ($5 at the gate), and anyone can drive on the track, as many runs as you can fit in, for $10. People run anything and everything. Saw a big rig (w/o trailer, duh) run 17s. Cool. Lots of little rice rockets and big egos ripe for the crushing. Also lots of sweet muscle cars and motorcycles of all kinds
I'll be driving my SPG, I think. I actually can't decide whether or not I should be so dumb as to drag race my Saab. Other Saabs may be better equiped for drag racing, though I'd like to see what kind of times I can turn now that I modified the car (18 psi +). I did this once last year, and I was not pleased with the results (I was kind of freaking out about cracking my tranny case the whole time, and the possibility of snapping an axle) Back then, I had 12 psi of boost max, if that. Needless to say, my reaction times sucked hard core, and my starts were a little bogged. Perhaps I should heed those thoughts again!
Anyway, who drag races their Saab on this board? What kind of 1/4 mi. times do you run? What do you do to jump off the line, without freaking out about your tranny? Damn weak cases! Thanks!
Mike
