Well Vince I can only say that I thought those were interesting things you said. I realize that alot of people on this board have did the APC first to push up the pressure only to find themselves later adding more and more items to support that new APC. I did talk with Dave a few times about the direction I wanted to take and that was,
1. I wanted to start with the non-APC stuff first because I wasn't really believing how much the APC would increase power as there web site suggested it would.
2. I felt that if I could reach my goals with(210-220BHP)items that didn't increase pressure, I could possibly not stress the engine as much and still be happy with the outcome. This car is 13 years old you know.
3.I was trying to tune the car as if it were a non-turbo, then increase the pressure later by means of the stage #1 or 2 APC. This would allow me to better evaluate the mods as I went along i.e) How could I tell the difference with a new part(k&n)if I already have the pressure up to 18 psi? I hope that makes sense to some.
I do understand your concerns and think you have very valid points, as you've done this before and I'm kinda new to turbo's. All the other items you mentioned are still on the table. Perhaps in the near future (3-6 months) I'll be looking at head work and cams, money isn't a factor here. Only performance!
Thanks, Phil
