2.1 head upgrade q

Me again. The 92 2.1 head is working fine, proper fuel amount is dialed in, purrs like an angry cat, has that %15+/- improved immediate pop I was hoping for at nearly every pedal position, except for turbo boosting. What happens when I stomp the pedal is that I get plenty of psi in the manifold, but it doesn't translate to engine torque right away. It also seems to "drag" a bit where it should be zooming at 3K plus and 10 - 12 psi. If that's the "lag" I've heard tell about from having installed a 2.1 head and intake manifold onto a 2.0 86 block, alright then, I now understand. But I'm thinking it might be more an issue of the 2.1 n/a intake cam I'm running. The extra few degrees of closing time on the 2.1. cam might be keeping some of that boost from making it inside the combustion chambers where it would do the most good. I have the 86T intake cam to swap in for comparison. I had it in earlier, but that was before I solved the fuel air issue, so I don't have any boost comparison. Is my thinking correct about why I'm getting so much lag re n/a cam?
