Use a '99 9-3 HOT ECU for a '96 900 turbo, possible?

Subject car is an auto. The engine mods are:
a) viggen i/c;
b) 3" downpipe/exhaust;
c) modified airbox; and,
d) an MBC+A.
The car runs good and smooth with 144k on the odometer. Since the '99 9-3 is the last year for the T5, would it be possible to use the '99 9-3 HOT ECU for my car?
I know that the alarm system changed from 900 to 9-3. Would that be a problem?
Given the attained milage, I just want to keep the car going reliably until 200k; hence, I am not shooting for the uprated ECU. Or, is this pointless since I have auto, slushbox limits torque.
Thanks in advance!
