Id bet if folks focus on it that corn could be made into alcahaul more efficiently or like you said alcahaul from other sources might be a better bet
it burns cooler & more power can be made from it as a result (for racing not per litre) & cars can easily be converted to run on it which is a big plus
I thought it did burn cleaner? my inderstanding is Co2 & water vapor are the main exhaust gasses produced when burning alcahaul & that this is what the catalyst trys to make from gasoline using the o2 to swing the AF back & fourth to produce more of the components needed by the catalyst to produce these gasses
also witth tuning & better combustion chamber design Id bet allot more milage could be gotten from any fuel
honda civics in the mid 90s running a wideband OE in their engine management saw 45+MPG quite often this was a combination of engine management & combustion chamber design
I dont realy care about fuel prices accept that oil company proffits are at their highest while the prices are up at their highest ever & I just dont think that is rite especially the amount of proffit involved its just sickening
I like the idea of alternative fuels especially from renewable recourses but I realize there are no simple answers here I just dont think we should give up because at this point its not the total answer
take care
