Thank you! Finally, somebody who actually knows what it is! Currently, I have my APC set like this: F and P are 1/4 turn CW, and the K is 1/8 turn CCW. My timing is advanced by 2 degrees (going to retard it back to stock), and it still doesn't knock, although it falls on it's face above 4500 RPM under load. I find that this is an OK setup for getting off the line and going down a strip, but above 90 mph, it becomes docile and uneventful (only topped out at 125). So I'll keep playing with it until I find a good middle ground, and since I don't care if I blow the motor, I can get creative. Oh, and just to raise an eyebrow, I raced a brand-new Dodge Charger R/T (HEMI) from a rolling start at 40 mph on the interstate. When I let off at 105, I had three lengths on him, and then he blew by me doing 120 or so...
