I agree with John and lms. My car is linked below. Most of my driving is on the interstate and 3500-5500rpm is where it's happiest. I had to relearn my shifting pattern so now I don't shift below 3000rpm unless stuck in traffic.
If you're in the city or short congested commutes then I wouldn't go with the higher stages. The stock TD04 I had made the car feel a little quicker but now it's just plain fast. Rocketing (I mean adapting)up to 130mph in 4th gear is no problem whatsoever. It's also my daily commuter car.
