Here's my DIY instructions. I've made five of these so far. The only addition I've made that is not in the instructions is that I cut 1.5" off the top to shorten the shifter as well. You have to cut a new channel for the reverse lever and shorten the threaded connecting rod and re-seat the top of the boot if you have a leather one. No big deal.
I made one for my car. My buddy liked it so much he had me make him one. His indy saw it and had me make him one for his '93 Comm ed. He liked it so much that he has installed them in several of his customers cars. No need to pay exorbitant prices for something that you can do yourself. I assure you I would not have posted the instructions on this board if this was not up to the level of the "professionally made" ones.
Unfortunately, manual shifters for these cars are not exactly littering the bone yards, or I'd be making them for resale.
