Hi Gary, you're exactly right but we're not building F1 cars here and durability is more important to us for these applications. Also Maptun, Brad and others we deal with also recommend the larger valve stems. Additionally if we ever did go the a 5mm stem we would use some really high tech valves to insure against any potential problems. We have flowed both but the 7mm stems had our custom guides so it wasn't a direct comparison in fact our setup flowed better. So no more 9000? I'm beganing to appreciate the later Saab's now days especially Viggens. During my last trip to NY I drove my friend Claude's 2000 Viggen and Mike Miller (Mio on TSN) picked me up at the airport in his very modified 02? Viggen. Anyway both are very fast cars especially Mike's modified one which has one of my ultra light flywheels. Do you still do those hill climbs up there? Take care, Dave
