Drew , I'm not positive , but it looks like there would be 2" below the top edge of the bumper and 8" above it , which would bring the top of the fmic right to the top edge of the radiator support , if the fmic's inlet/outlet were on the bottom . with the measurments I did , it seems like there is plenty of depth available for a 2.5" thick fmic without tilting the condenser back . there is at least 3" between the condenser and the inside edge of the bumper at the sides and 3.5 inches or more where the bumper curves out and further away from the condenser in the center . maybe this is due to the differences in bumper mounts with the later style of bumpers or maybe I'm missing something and there isn't as much space as I think . my plans started out with a 3" core , which it looked like there was space for , and I only decided on the the 2.5 when i found out that your fmic came in this thickness and figured .5" less thickness would give me some leeway if I needed to move the fmic around some to get everything to fit .
this would also provide more space between the fmic and condenser . do you think I'm missng something as far as my estimation of fit goes or is there more space with the later style bumpers ? also , do you know how much space , if any , is needed between the fmic and condenser ?
