Jumping to conclusions Posted by John Williams [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: a cleanup :-), lms, Thu, 23 Nov 2006 23:09:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It seems some people are ready to blame the tuner at the drop of a hat and that has always bothered me. Its the same thing as jumping to a conclusion after hearing only one side of story. I know it was taught to me in business management to never make decisions and assumptions and judgements until you get both sides of the story. I found this out to be so true when I managed a store one time, there was a beef between two employees and one came to me and gave me her side. At the end of the one persons story, I was convinced she was in the right and the other person was in the wrong. I was just about to fire that other person and was sure he was in the wrong, but had not talked to him. I did wait and get his side of the story and after hearing his side of the story, I was no longer so sure. I checked the video tape and lo and behold, he was in the right and she was in the wrong... I would have never guessed!!! You really never know what has happened until you get all the information, both sides of the story and when people say things with only part of the info and jump to conclusions, it really can effect a persons reputation and business. The issue with car hw problems creating a so called sw problem seems to be very common, yet people still are ready to jump on the band wagon and blame the tuner, whoever that may be. I guess what I am saying is when you read a rant of how bad a tune is on a car, do not take it as gospal, there may be a side to the story you have not heard or it just might be a hw issue that is causing the problem. That is my take, happy hollidays, John
