I pull the chains out the bottom with the pan off Posted by jak [Email] (#195) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jak) on Thu, 21 Dec 2006 07:43:24 In Reply to: can someone tell me how to remove my balanceshaft, joe [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 21 Dec 2006 06:50:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ive done this several times
just pull the pan & carefuly cut the chain, carefully wash out all the debris you have created & put the pan back on
there is no need for a block off plate or anything
if you have the timing cover off just delete the chain but leave the sprocket there on the crank still
uf yoy have the engine apart completeley just study an oil flow diagram & you block off one passage in the main journal & onew in the front of the right ballance shaft journal as you look at it
allways you need to leave the crank sprocket on as a spacer so the main chain lines up
take care
