Brownie, jak and John I are right on as always. Where a lot of this comes from is turbo suppliers / re-builders trying to protect themselves from someone not being thorough as JAK stated. One of my turbo customers that specializes in Saab's soaks the oil supply line in carb cleaner (the heave duty real foul smelling stuff) overnight and then blows them out with hight pressure air as JAK said to do. What I've been doing recently is cranking the pressure way up on our new backing soda blasting machine and blasting the line out from both ends and clean them out with our hight pressure air / water rinse both. I did buy a new one (for $120!!!)for Claude's ice race engine http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/performance/index.html?bID=111003 but only because I didn't have any decent looking used one to use.
